Who we are

Wine is the UK's most popular alcoholic drink – and yet knowledge is held by the 0.5%. Perceptions of elitism and snobbery are rife. When you do decide you want to get into wine, there's just so much to take in. And when you splash out, good wine is so often hit and miss.

We are here to end that.

Wine List is on a mission to empower wine lovers with thirst and knowledge. We help you learn in a simple, incremental and non-pretentious way. And we provide you access to interesting wines you won't ever find in the supermarket to discover while you learn.

Who you are

Equal opportunities employer We are committed to providing equal opportunities, regardless of race, religion, beliefs, ethnic origin, disabilities, gender identity, sexual orientation, class, or any other basis.

We are hiring a growth marketer to grow our north star metric: active subscribers.

This will predominantly mean acquisition, but we expect you to be comfortable across the pirate metrics.

This is super early stage. Six months ago we only had 100 customers, today we have 1,000, but we've got huge ambitions and know this next year will be pivotal.

You will have experience working in an early-stage startup. You will experiment relentlessly, with endless ideas. You will always be looking for creative ways to grow our customer base.

Growth will be a passion, and you will be on top of latest trends, case studies, growth hacks, workarounds, and whatever is needed to get the job done. All of this will be underpinned by the rigour of knowledge of Andrew Chen, Brian Balfour, and Sean Ellis.

What we're looking for in you

  • [ ] Analytical. Data is second nature to you. Spreadsheets, analytics, CPA, LTV, payback, you'll know these inside out (SQL a plus)
  • [ ] Creative. We don't have a creative team. This means ad creation is on you
  • [ ] Self-starter. Not everyone suits autonomy, but we need you to thrive with it
  • [ ] Get shit done. Done is better than perfect. Automated is better than manual.
  • [ ] Entrepreneurial. We want people who want to run their own companies one day
  • [ ] Humble with growth mindset. We get more wrong than right & you must relish learning from that
  • [ ] Technical-ish. We don't need an engineer, but solid experience of automation tools, computer science principles, and data structures will help you stand out.
  • [ ] Love wine and our mission. We need you to believe in the wine world we're creating.

What you'll get in return

  • Competitive salary plus generous stock options – depending on experience
  • 28 days holiday per year
  • Wine perks: access to tastings, education, and winemaker days where we learn to make wine
  • Office in Peckham, South London
  • Access to a wide selection of marketing mentors
